Stories, self-effacing wit and bandmate-banter are known to interweave Langford’s live performances, with heart and humour shining through her works. Langford’s is an unmistakable voice on the frontline of a new wave of Irish folk. Over the course of her career, she has become a firm feature of the folk and songwriter scene at home and abroad, but she still proudly calls Limerick City in the South-West of Ireland home.

In 2018 she released Quiet Giant, an album that gained her the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award for Best Emerging Artist and the Irish Post Music Award nomination for Best Irish Folk Act. She won the inaugural Dolores O’Riordan Bursary in 2019, which helped her to write and ultimately release her second album, Sowing Acorns, in 2021.

With Sowing Acorns, the artist solidified her place in hearts and minds alike. She climbed the charts with epic folk ballad Birdsong, and the heart-rending The Winding Way Down to Kells Bay.

Langford is now on the road around Ireland, the US and Germany, accompanied by her frequent collaborators Hannah Nic Gearailt (keys) and Alec Brown (cello) promoting her brand new singles Boys Will Be Boys and Hunting The Hare, and sharing much loved songs old and new.
